Oretta

Changelog

1.7.0

New

  • The Oretta website is public: home, pricing and changelog.
  • Edit entries right in the list: click the description, project, tags, billable, times or duration, and Enter saves the change.
  • Duplicate an entry with one click, on the same day and at the same hours.
  • Admins can pick a teammate on the Time page to edit, duplicate and add their entries. Team leads can view them.
  • While viewing a teammate, admins can copy one of their entries to their own entries. The copy opens right away, ready for a new day and hours.
  • Admins can edit the entry list in Reports the same way, so a whole month can be reviewed and fixed in one place.
  • Add entries manually right in the timer card: the icons next to the round button switch between Timer and Manual. Manual mode puts the day and hours field where the clock is, with project, tags and billable below, and the card remembers the last mode. A running timer stays visible as a line with its time and Stop.
  • The Time list can show any period: click the period title (like "October 2026") to pick a ready range or any days in the calendar. The arrows move by the same period, also when viewing a teammate's entries.
  • Report filters fit in one line: Client, Project, Person, Billable and Description open in small dropdowns, Group by shows the current choice, and Clear and Apply sit at the right end of the line.
  • In light mode the app sits on a light grey with a hint of violet, so the white cards stand out.
  • Pick several clients, projects or people at once: each list has search, a checkmark and highlight on what's picked, and Clear at the bottom. A set filter shows how many are picked and an X that removes it right away, and Clear filters shows up as soon as anything is set.
  • The date range in Reports and the period title on the Time page open the same calendar: a list of ready ranges next to two months for any other range. The arrows next to it are joined into one pair, apart from the date.

Improved

  • Retano is now Oretta, at oretta.app. Your account, data and links keep working.
  • Every day of the month is its own card with the day's total, so days no longer blend together.
  • Typing just the duration moves the end time, in the list and in the entry window.
  • Times can be typed the quick way: 901 or 0901 is 9:01, 1745 is 17:45, and a dot, comma or space before the minutes works too (9.30, 9,30). The field shows 09:01 as soon as the time is clear, a typo goes back to the last good value, and the up and down arrows move it by 15 minutes.
  • Duration in the forms reads like a clock: 1:30, 1.30, 130 and 1.5 all mean 1 h 30 min.
  • Durations look the same everywhere, as hours and minutes like 2:45: in the Time list, Reports, the PDF and the forms, and they are typed the same way. The decimal Hours column is gone from Reports; the CSV export keeps decimal hours for spreadsheets.
  • The timer card is about half as tall: description, clock and Start in one line, project and tags below, and Recent projects in one line that scrolls sideways.
  • One field for the day and hours (Today | start - end | duration, each part editable), in manual entry and in the entry window, with tag and billable icons next to it. An entry that ends the next day shows "+1", and clicking the day opens the calendar right there without widening the field.
  • Tags in entry lists show as the tag icon with their number (names on hover), so the project name keeps its room.
  • Entries in the Time list are lower and all the same height: the description and the client / project line take one line each (click the description to see and edit all of it), tags and billable always sit at the end of the project line, and hours and duration line up in the same columns on every row. Moving an entry to another day sits with the other actions that show on hover.
  • The side column on the Time page is narrower: today, this week, the period and billable form one list, and Projects and the Chrome card fit the same width, so the entry list gets more room.
  • A running timer shows a breathing dot in the project's color, and the stop icon is the right size again.
  • A clearer tag icon, and billable shows a "$" icon.
  • Tags are picked from the studio's list with search, everywhere: timer, manual entry, entry list and entry window. A missing tag can be added right there.
  • Your name in the top bar opens a menu with Account, the Chrome extension, language (with flags), theme and Sign out.
  • Long project names wrap on phones instead of pushing the page sideways.
  • The entry list in Reports looks like the Time list: date and hours share one column, the description and the client / project line share another (one line each), and tags and billable sit at the end of the project line. Every row has the same height, duplicate and delete show on hover, and on narrow screens the table scrolls sideways without its header covering the first rows.
